Our Grade 4 to 7 learners recently enjoyed an unforgettable educational trip to Mapungubwe National Park and World Heritage Site, where history, nature and adventure came together.
The learners discovered the fascinating story of Mapungubwe’s ancient African kingdom, which flourished over 700 years ago and became an important centre of trade with cultures as far away as China and India. They also learned about the famous Golden Rhino, one of the most significant archaeological discoveries from the site.
Beyond its rich history, Mapungubwe offered the learners the opportunity to experience breathtaking landscapes, incredible birdlife and the possibility of seeing wildlife such as elephants and leopards.
It was a wonderful opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, explore South Africa’s heritage and create lasting memories together.
